2014-2015 Senators Schedule: The Season Begins October 9
A few details have emerged about the Senators schedule for the upcoming season.
News leaked this afternoon about NHL home openers for the 2014-2015 season. The Senators kick things off against the Nashville Predators in Nashville on Thursday, October 9, 2014. The Sens will spend Thanksgiving weekend on the road, and the team won't be making its Canadian Tire Centre debut until the following week.

Opening the season against Nashville and having the home opener against Colorado is an interesting background to the this summer's player moves. Both teams have a rumoured interest in Senators captain Jason Spezza, and his acquisition by either club, while a long-shot to happen, would add another layer to the early season match-ups.
