Binghamton Senators' 2015-'16 Schedule Released
The Binghamton Senators will enter their 14th season serving as the top affiliate of the Ottawa Senators.
The hockey world re-surfaced today in the Southern Tier of NY as the Binghamton Senators are on the radar once again with the release of the 2015-'16 schedule. Here is the official 76 game timetable courtesy of the B-Sens' website with the season opener set for Oct 10 when they faceoff with the Albany Devils at the Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena in Binghamton.
As with the norm in the AHL, it favors heavily with 31 dates slotted on the weekend out of 37 home games. There will also be a return trip up in Ottawa at CTC to face the Syracuse Crunch on Sat., Feb 13, which should be an exciting contest for the two rivals. Speaking of rivals, longtime rival Rochester will again be part of the fracas as the Sens will face them 10 times (like the Crunch). Binghamton will see the Penguins only 6 games, much to the relief of some fans, and doubles last season's four meetings against St. John's with eight.
The B-Sens will face their opponents in the newly aligned North Division 50 games. 26 are slated outside the division, including five of the team's last 13 games with last season's Calder Cup finalist Utica Comets.
Fans are getting pretty amped up according to some of their tweets;

I never thoughtt I'd see the day where Binghamton's "most played" rival for a season would be St. John's. #AHLS7S
