BREAKING NEWS: The Zub Has Been Secured

The young defenseman has dazzled everyone this season

While there have been numerous great players to shine this season. Artem Zub has been one of the brightest stars to shine in an area of great darkness for the Sens. The 25-year old defenceman could do no wrong since he was inserted into the lineup and continues to only get stronger throughout the season.

The Ottawa Senators announced today that they have extended Zub to a 2-year contract with an AAV of $2.5M. Hopefully this is a bridge contract where Zub continues to become a staple in the lineup and earns a longer tenure with the team.

We can all breathe a sigh of relief that one of the youngsters is secured. Now bring on that Brady Tkachuk extension and it better be longer than 2 years.
