MacArthur Shut Down For the Season
But Anderson expected back for good by early February
Pierre Dorion held a media availability this morning, with some news on two missing players.
First, the bad news. Clarke MacArthur will not play this season. Details on what led to this decision light, only that it is based on advice from the numerous doctors that have been consulted. You again have to wonder if it might be best for him to hang up his skates.
Dorion says many doctors were consulted and they've determined hr should not play this year.

This comes after the hopeful timeline slipping bit by bit since mid-December. He will continue to work towards a return for next season, and has the option of continuing that work with the team. MacArthur is living symptom free, and was devastated to find out that he would not be receiving medical clearance to return.
On the basis of that news Dorion says he is working to find a deal to replace MacArthur in the lineup, but it doesn’t sound like that would come cheap.
"The asking prices are ridiculous, almost," says Dorion. #Sens

On more positive news Craig Anderson is going to rejoin the team either later this month or early February, and it is expected to be back for the rest of the season. That’s good news for the team, and is likely very good news for Nicholle, Craig and their family. It will take some time for him to get back into game shape before he gets a start.
The last update is more of a no-update - there is currently no timeline for the return of Andrew Hammond.
