Colin White Suffers Broken Wrist
The 20-year-old is out 6-8 weeks after blocking a shot in last night’s preseason game.
After riding the high that was last night’s 6-2 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs in the first unofficial game of the season, Sens fans were given some devastating news this afternoon.
Pierre Dorion tells the media this morning that Colin White has suffered a broken left wrist. Out 6-8 weeks.

Late in the third period on Monday night, White knelt to block a point shot but got his left hand in the way. He hobbled off the ice in obvious agony.
With Brassard most likely out for the beginning of the regular season, many thought White was sure to crack the NHL roster this season. Head coach Guy Boucher spoke highly of his reliability in the early days of training camp, which, for Boucher, is a clear stamp of approval.
But with the Massachusetts native out for the next couple months, it opens a door for another prospect to possibly swoop in and surprise everyone.
It’s not impossible that we see young Logan Brown step in to fill the void - he’s had an impressive two weeks to start the 2017-18 campaign. Filip Chlapik also comes to mind as a youngster that is showing he could have an impact at the NHL level.
Pius Suter, Gabriel Gagne, Tyler Randell and Drake Batherson have had solid training camps thus far, as well.
Tonight, the Senators are in Toronto to play the second of a home-and-home. Puck drop is 7:30 p.m.
