3:50pm: Will this be the first domino? The Canadiens de Montréal have traded Max Domi and a third-round pick in 2020 (78th overall) to the Columbus Blue Jackets for Josh Anderson. Domi’s name has been circulating in rumours for a few weeks now, and Marc Bergevin is hoping that the 26-year-old Anderson regains his goal-scoring prowess as a puck-possession winger who can add a different look on the wings.
Meanwhile, in Las Vegas, there are rumours circulating from Justin Emerson of the Las Vegas Sun that the Golden Knights have offered a second-round pick to teams who can take on even half of Marc-André Fleury’s $6.5M salary. It’s a deal the Sens should be all over barring they aren’t one of the 10 teams on Fleury’s no-trade list, as a veteran, bilingual goaltender could serve the Senators well as he finishes up his career after the 2021-22 season. — AM

11:00am: Let’s start this off, shall we? This is from yesterday, but I smiled the entire time I was watching this video from the NHL on Brady Tkachuk’s draft day. Above all else, remember that every player taken (and not taken) by the Senators today are human beings. I’m immensely sad that the 2020 draft class and their loved ones won’t experience the same buzz but hope that they make the most of it regardless — AM
Relive all the Tkachuk family banter leading up to Brady's draft selection by the @Senators in 2018!
