Around 1 p.m. today, Team Sweden announced their 16-man roster for the World Cup of Hockey.
When the tournament kicks off Sept. 17 in Toronto, the Senators' captain, himself, will be wearing the yellow and blue for his home country.

Erik Karlsson did wonders for Sweden during the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi. Helping them win a silver medal, Karlsson was declared the tournament's best defenseman and was also named to the All-Star Team.
But there was one name missing from Sweden's roster that Senators fans might notice.

Mika Zibanejad was left off the 16-man roster, but that's not to anyone's surprise. Going into the season, it was well-known that the 22-year-old was going to be on the bubble and was going to have to earn himself a spot.
There's still enough time for Zibanejad to impress, though. Sweden still needs to fill around five more forward spots by the beginning of the tournament.
Do you think Mika Zibanejad will be named to Team Sweden's finalized roster?
