Sens vs Streak
Remember to put your predictions in the comments to this post by the scheduled start time for it to count as an entry in our prediction contest! You can read the full rules on that here, and see the results and all of the entries (might both be a bit way behind) here.
4-2 Senators
GWG: Mike Hoffman
The Senators return home and win in front of their fans. It is a close game but in the end Mike Hoffman proves to be the difference.
Record: 22-18, 26 Points
0 Exact Scores, 4 Game Winning Goals
1-0 Senators
GWG: Mike Hoffman
Offence gets back on track in this one. Craig Anderson has stellar numbers against his old team, and posts a shutout on the Panthers, who just extended GM Dale Tallon after a record December. I’m a big “don’t make big, lasting decisions when you’re really happy or sad” kinda guy, and I think that ends up costing a team that isn’t as good as their record indicates.
Record: 21-19, 24 Points
3 Exact Scores, 0 Game Winning Goals
3-1 Senators
GWG: Mike Hoffman
Snapping the Panthers hot streak? Sure, why not. This isn't the same situation that saw the Sens get brutally outplayed the last time these two played each other.
Record: 18-22, 21 Points
3 Exact Scores, 0 Game Winning Goals
4-3 Panthers
GWG: Jaromir Jagr
I can just hear all the cheesy Jagr jokes on Twitter. Who am I kidding, I’ll be making the bulk of them.
Record: 22-18, 28 Points
2 Exact Scores, 4 Game Winning Goals
3-1 Senators
GWG: Bobby Ryan
Bobby pots a pair of goals in a low-scoring game against the Panthers. Anderson locks it down to pick up the two points for the Sens.
Record: 22-18, 27 Points
2 Exact Scores, 3 Game Winning Goals
5-2 Senators
GWG: Mika Zibanejad
The Sens are dominant from start to finish in this one and earn a well-deserved victory against their Atlantic Division rivals.
Record: 23-17, 25 Points
0 Exact Scores, 2 Game Winning Goals
4-2 Senators
GWG: Erik Karlsson
The Senators will enjoy coming back from the Central Division to face a team in the mediocre Atlantic, and will celebrate by beating the Panthers handily
Record: 18-22, 19 Points
0 Exact Scores, 1 Game Winning Goals
4-1 Senators
GWG: Chris Wideman
Ottawa's due for a win against a divisional opponent, and the Panthers aren't as good as their record indicates. Florida may make the playoffs, but I'm sure they'll slip back a bit soon.
Record: 20-20, 26 Points
2 Exact Scores, 4 Game Winning Goals
