Game 51: Ottawa Senators @ Los Angeles Kings
The Ottawa Senators return to action tonight when they visit the Los Angeles Kings. Coming off a loss in Anaheim, the Senators will look to avoid back-to-back regulation losses for the first time in over two months. There will be two changes to the lineup with Mark Borowiecki and Bobby Butler returning in the place of Matt Carkner and Andre Petersson.
Here are the projected lines from Ian Mendes:
Milan Michalek - Jason Spezza - Bobby Butler
Nick Foligno - Kyle Turris - Daniel Alfredsson
Colin Greening - Zack Smith - Chris Neil
Kaspars Daugavins - Zenon Konopka - Erik Condra
Filip Kuba - Erik Karlsson
Jared Cowen - Sergei Gonchar
Chris Phillips - Mark Borowiecki
Craig Anderson (starter)
We have a backup goalie?
More after the jump.
Here are things to look out for tonight:
- Winning in Los Angeles: Yeah, look out to see if we win the game? Great job, genius. The Senators haven't won in Los Angeles in 12 years and that was their only win. Ottawa is 1-10-1 in their history in away games against the Kings.
- Spezza's futility in Los Angeles: According to Ian Mendes, Los Angeles and St. Louis are the only cities that Spezza does not have a point in his career.
- Butler on top line: Bobby Butler was scratched in the last game, but he is now jumping back in - and on Jason Spezza's wing. Good chance for him.
- Bouncing back: As mentioned earlier, the Senators haven't lost two in a row in regulation for a long time. Expect a good effort from Ottawa. Hopefully the team isn't dependent on Craig Anderson again.
