Game 56 Preview and Open Thread: Toronto Maple Leafs @ Ottawa Senators

It’s been a fun season, it’s been a frustrating season, it’s been a hopeful season but mostly it’s been too short of a season.

Just as the team was starting to really come together and we get a glimpse of even more of our prized prospects; they end it for us. There have been countless great moments this season and there will be nothing better than to close this season with a glorious win against the Maple Leafs before they head out to another embarrassing playoff performance.

DJ Smith had to leave us to the very last game, but ladies and gentlemen we will have a Logan Brown sighting. We will also be seeing Parker Kelly for the first time so if you needed any more excitement for the game, Smith is making sure it’s a game worth tuning in to.

• This will probably be the last time we see Arty party so hopefully he ends his tenure with a nice performance
• There’s a lot of pressure on young Logan Brown, it seems people think tonight’s game will be an indication of his future with the team but there’s only so much he can do in one game. For all that he’s been through, I hope Brown does have dazzling game even though it really shouldn’t be a judge of what he’s capable of.
• While the Leafs have already clinched their playoff spot and home ice advantage and division lead, they do have a small chance of capturing the president’s trophy and knowing that team, they will probably try to play hard for it. Let’s spoil one more thing this season.
