Game 68: Ottawa Senators @ Tampa Bay Lightning
The Ottawa Senators take on the Tampa Bay Lightning this evening, attempting to complete a sweep of Florida state after their win over the Panthers yesterday. The Lightning are an ugly 1-3-1 in their last five games, while the Sens are 6-3 in their last nine. Still, Tampa's fighting with the Washington Capitals for first in the Southeast Division--which will probably be their best chance at home-ice in the first round of the playoffs--so every game is important for them right now.
Some players I'll be watching today:
- Curtis McElhinney: Gets his first start in a Senators jersey, and it comes against the team that had him for about four days, or something, before sending him away. How will he do?
- Erik Karlsson: Two goals last game, extending his lead in Senators scoring to three points.
- Steven Stamkos: Predict how many goals Stammer will score tonight.
- Vincent Lecavalier: Has had a killer 2011 calendar year, scoring 21 of his 37 points this season in the new year.
Join us in the comments section again tonight, and hope the Sens will complete the Florida sweep--but know that if they can't, at least there's still that draft pick.
