Introducing the New S7S Site Manager
Meet the new boss, same as the old boss
It may seem like a lifetime ago, back when Cody Ceci and Zack Smith were still Ottawa Senators, but the astute among you might remember that once upon a time Ross announced that he was giving up his role as Site Manager for Silver Seven Sens. Today it is my terrible duty to inform you, dear reader, that you are now stuck with me.
In some ways things are going to stay the same as they ever were; in my biased opinion, Silver Seven is one of the very best places to read about the Sens, and the strong community of readers speaks to that. I’ve been writing for the site for over five years (!) now and there’s a lot of things that work very well. I’m not going to try to reinvent the wheel.
But, at the same time, with change comes opportunity. The Sens figure to be a younger, entertaining, and (hopefully) better team next season. Our coverage is going to evolve with the team.
I’d also like to take this opportunity to solicit some feedback from everyone that reads this site. What parts of our coverage do you like? What would you want to see more of? What don’t you like? What would you like to see less of? Comments can be as broad or as specific as you’d like. My first order of business is to take a long, deep look at everything we do and your input is critical in that. After all, a big part of the reason we all write is for you.
Ross is leaving some awfully big shoes to fill. This community wouldn’t be the same without him. Even though he’d hate this, I do want to once more express my sincere thanks for all the work he’s done.
I’m excited for what’s coming next and I hope you’re all ready for what’s to come.
