- While talks of bringing back the Atlanta Thrashers have been re-surfacing; both Atlanta and Salt Lake City put in a formal request for an expansion team to the NHL. We'll see if the NHL does give Atlanta a third chance at success.
- There seems to be a spleen issue going around the NHL. After Mark Stone was forced to sit out the rest of the season with a lacerated spleen, Jets' forward Gabriel Vilardi is out with no timetable for his return after being diagnosed with an enlarged spleen.
- The 2026 Olympics are ready to welcome back NHL players and Team Canada is already in prep mode. St. Louis Blues GM Doug Armstrong has been named Team Canada's general manager with Ryan Getzlaf serving as player relations advisor.
- While the trade deadline ended, the Ottawa Senators were not done. A move aimed to help the Belleville Senators, the big club acquired forward Wyatt Bongiovanni from the Winnipeg Jets in exchange for future considerations.
- There is no bigger name in franchise history for the Dallas Stars than Mike Modano. The former NHLer was honoured this past weekend with a brand new statue at American Airlines Center.
- If you thought the Pittsburgh Penguins bobblehead fiasco was a PR stunt, think again. While at times, it felt like a well-rounded PR stunt, especially with the involvement of Gritty; it appears the bobbleheads did indeed go missing with authorities involved in the search.
