Ottawa Senators 2015-16 Home Opener against Montreal Canadiens on October 11
The Senators revealed their home opener date and opponent today.
The Ottawa Senators have announced their home opener will take place against the Montreal Canadiens on Sunday, October 11. Games between the Senators and Canadiens are always hotly contested, and memories of their playoff meeting in the spring should only help to fuel the rivalry.

In addition to that game, another Sens game was announced because the Buffalo Sabres' home opener is against the Sens on Thursday, October 8th.

The Sabres look to be an exciting young time next year, with Jack Eichel joining Sam Reinhart and a healthy Evander Kane. This will most likely be the Sens' season opener as well. I expect they will be playing one more game on Saturday, October 10, before heading home. This game could be at the Maple Leafs, or could be the start of a home-and-home with the Habs, because the Sens would have to travel to Ottawa for a game the next day. (Update: Can't be the Habs - their home opener is not until October 15th)
The full regular season schedule for all teams will be released tomorrow.
