Ottawa Senators Announce Development Camp Roster
The 40 invitees will participate in the camp from June 27th to July 3rd
The Ottawa Senators released their 2017 development camp roster, made up of Sens prospects as well as a handful of invitees. The camp will do training on and off the ice, and will also include some team building activities. It’s a good time for Sens fans to witness some players that we don’t often get to see, as the annual evening scrimmage will be taking place June 29th at the Kanata Recreation Complex, open to the public.
Ben Harpur, Chris Driedger, Patrick Sieloff and Vincent Dunn, will all not be in attendance, for varying reasons. Harpur is seen highly by management, and may be seen as having ‘graduated’ despite being younger than others at the camp. Chris Driedger is probably in a similar boat, considering it’s been five years since he was drafted (the same applies to Sieloff). Vincent Dunn is likely no longer seen as part of the organization (despite being signed for another year), as he had minimal results last season in the ECHL.
Also of note is that four of the Sens’ 2017 draft picks, chosen just days ago, will be in attendance for the camp.
Here are the full rosters:
