Ottawa Senators Announce Preseason Schedule
The six game schedule will feature two contests at home
The Ottawa Senators announced their preseason schedule for the 2017-2018 season, featuring two games at home, three on the road, and one as part of Kraft Hockeyville in O’Leary, Prince Edward Island.
The full schedule is below:

Unlike previous years, there appears to be no split squad games, which will make for some early cuts to the main roster. The preseason will also be earlier than it was last season, since there will be no World Cup of Hockey to delay the schedule.
One game will be held in O’Leary, Prince Edward Island, as they were named the winner of the annual Kraft Hockeyville contest. In addition to having a preseason game held in their city of less than 1,000 people, O’Leary received $100,000 to go towards upgrading their arena.
Although it will mean nothing for the standings (after all, the Colorado Avalanche went 6-0 last year), preseason is a great time for players who may not have been initially considered for the roster to make a case. Phil Varone was last year’s standout with seven points in five games, so who knows who could be the surprise this time?
