Ottawa Senators select Blake Montgomery 117th overall
The 6'4" LW comes from Lincoln in the USHL
The Ottawa Senators have made their third of three picks in the fourth round, taking LW Blake Montgomery. They continued the trend of picking tall players, as Montgomery is 6'4". He played for the Lincoln Stars in the USHL for 2023-24, and finished one off the team lead in points, with 43 points (22 goals, 21 assists) in 58 games. He's committed to join Wisconsin at the NCAA level next year.
Elite Prospects was pretty high on Montgomery, having him ranked 61st overall because of his strength, speed, and defensive responsibility. McKeen's had him as a 5th-rounder. To help make your own judgment, here's his 2023-24 highlight reel, courtesy of Sullivan Hockey:
