Sterling Predictions: Trades
Who will be the first Senator traded?
Which Senator will be the first to be traded? ("None" is always an acceptable answer)
Colin: Not sure if this is cheating, since he won't be starting on the Sens, but I think Chris Driedger seems like the guy Ottawa would add in a trade as a minor piece to a larger deal. Who else will be included in that trade, I have no idea. But I think he might be Ottawa's first step to cleaning up the clog of goalies.
Callum: Chris Wideman.
Trevor: I agree with Callum, I'll take Chris Wideman. As much as it pains me to say, I can't see them retaining him past this season due to the amount of other defensemen they have.
Spencer: With the number of D on one way contracts plus Chabot and Harpur, both of whom have received plenty of praise from management, I think a D man gets moved. Despite how much I like him, I think it will be Chris Wideman.
Ross: Even though I write these questions, I still think they’re dumb. This is such a vague question. I’m gonna go completely off the board here and say Dion Phaneuf, because the Sens realize how much salary they’ll need to free up to pay Turris + Stone + Karlsson in the near future. Not sure how they convince someone else to take on his contract, but I’m guessing I won’t love it.
Ary: Cody Ceci. I belieeeeeeeeeeeeeve.
Beata: I really hope it doesn't happen, but I have to agree with the others and say Wideman.
NKB: Cody Ceci is gonna be traded straight up for Duchene (Editor’s note: Troll)
