Biggest Standouts
Aaron Luchuk
Luchuk’s point-per-game pace has dropped from Windsor (1.70) to Barrie (1.27), but had a four point night this week. Playing on a line with top 2018 prospect Andrei Svechnikov, Luchuk’s Colts are reinvigorated after adding Minnesota’s Dimitri Sokolov at the deadline and are looking to go on a long playoff run. Luchuk sits third in league scoring and ranks fifth in points-per-game.

Drake Batherson
Over in the QMJHL, Drake Batherson has enjoyed the move from Cape Breton (1.63) to Blainsville-Boisbriand (1.80). Playing on a line with the only player ahead of him in points-per-game, the undrafted Alex Barre-Boulet, Batherson is currently on a 12-game point streak and continues to thrive. Like Luchuk’s Colts and Brown’s Rangers, Batherson’s Armada are hoping to go on a deep run to win the QMJHL President’s Trophy.
Drake Batherson had 4 Points in a 4-1 win tonight, 1G & 3A.

Parker Kelly
Poor Parker. As Prince Albert sits on the outside looking in, Kelly was probably hoping to be traded to a contending team. However, as a younger player, he could still contribute to the Raiders next season. He’s 3 goals and 7 assists away from setting career-highs.
Parker Kelly had a 3 point night (1 SHG, 2A) and was named 2nd star in a 5-1 win 🚨🍏⭐️

Silver Linings
- Belleville had two wins and one loss over three games this week. The offensive standouts were Colin White, who’s now in Ottawa and had the best game of his career last night against Minnesota, and Gabriel Gagne. Each had two goals.
- Gagne, along with Nick Paul and Max McCormick, were highlighted as players who Pierre Dorion would like to get a look at the NHL level as the year progresses. Expect these three to be call-ups if there are any trades.
- Fresh off his solid World Juniors performance, Markus Nurmi continues to rise the U20 rankings in Liiga. He ranks 10th in points and 6th in goals among junior-aged players.
- Also in European prospect news, Filip Ahl will be spending the rest of his season in Jonathan Dahlen’s Allsvenskan. Ahl may be regretting leaving a good situation in Regina to head back home, and his future with the organization is up in the air.
- Lastly, Logan Brown is hoping to suit up for his first game in a Kitchener Rangers uniform this week. Expect him to go tonight vs. London or Friday vs. Saginaw. /
