This will be the first time the Sens face the Blackhawks in pre-season since 1998-99. Last year, the Sens concluded their pre-season with a record of 3-3, winning the first three and losing the trio in the back half.
Waivers will also begin sometime in middle of this time frame, as they open twelve days prior to the start of the regular season.
But until then, the team is in for a busy off-season. The NHL Entry Draft takes place in Dallas this Friday and Saturday, and unrestricted free agency opens on July 1st. With Dorion’s busy off-season ahead, the Sens’ roster could be looking drastically different by the time pre-season rolls around.
