Roman Wick to make first NHL appearance tonight
In a move we've seen all too often lately, forward Roman Wick is set to make his NHL debut tonight with the Ottawa Senators.
Wick, drafted in the 5th round of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, was something of a forgotten commodity in the Senators' prospect pool until the 2010 Olympic games, where he posted an impressive two goals and five points in five games for Switzerland.
Wick has spent most of his time since being drafted playing in his native Switzerland, but after that impressive Olympic performance signed a two-way deal with Ottawa. He had a rough start to his season in Binghamton, going pointless in his first 10 games. However, he's improved greatly as the season has gone on, and has put up 6 points in his last 8 games. Perhaps most importantly, he brings some of the nicest hair to hit the Ottawa Senators in a very long time.
The Senators have a good write-up on Wick on their site, which you can find here.
