Round 2, Game 2: Ottawa Senators @ Pittsburgh Penguins
An open thread to discuss game two of the eastern conference semifinal between the Ottawa Senators and Pittsburgh Penguins on 17 May 2013.
Adnan scheduled this, but it didn't publish because we're still having technical issues. So I'm going to take this space to talk about what's on my mind: Lameness. It just so happened that I got to read excerpts from the journal (as a guy, I don't keep diaries) I wrote in when I was 20.
They're hilarious. I thought I knew it all. So smug and superior.
Obviously, nothing has changed. I just throw more facts behind my elitism now. But, hearing my own voice from 15 years ago made me wonder just how shell-shocked our rookies were after Game one. Nothing like a little humble pie to keep expectations in check, right? Luckily, the staff can help the young players cope with the butt-whippin' they got. They've had two days to prepare, so it's time to bounce back or kiss this series goodbye.
