Born in Abbotsford, British Columbia in 1990, Grant was drafted 119th overall by the Ottawa Senators in 2008. Grant played two seasons with the Langley Chiefs in the BCHL before spending two years in college with the Michigan State Spartans. He joined the Binghamton Senators in 2010-2011 after his college season finished, playing 14 games. He was part of Bingo's Calder Cup run in 2011, and has spent the majority of the last three seasons with the club. He made his NHL debut February 16, 2013 against the Leafs, but only spent five games with Ottawa in the 2012-2013 season. His most successful stretch as a pro came early in the 2013-2014 season, when he spent 20 games with Ottawa and was a useful fourth line player and penalty killer. He is currently a member of the Binghamton Senators.
