Senators Fall 5-4 to Sabres in Shootout
A recap of tonight's game between the Ottawa Senators and the Buffalo Sabres.
Tonight you get an abbreviated recap because I missed a chunk of the game!
Sens Hero: Curtis Lazar
Lazar scored his first NHL goal tonight, tying the game at three early in the third period.

Sens Hero: Alex Chiasson
Chiasson and Lazar helped spur Ottawa's third period comeback. Chiasson's aggressive play in front of the Buffalo net led to an assist on Lazar's goal and his forecheck along the boards in the neutral zone allowed him to carry the puck into the Buffalo zone and score to give Ottawa the lead.
Sens Hero: Mike Hoffman
He only registered one assist, but Hoffman was flying tonight and generating lots of chances. With five shots on the night he helped generate Ottawa's offensive push and once again was part of Ottawa's most dangerous line.
The Worf Dishonourable Mention: Kyle Turris and Clarke MacArthur
Ottawa's first line duo has been slumping of late and it continued tonight. The effort is there, things just aren't clicking right now.
Sens Killer: Marcus Foligno
Nick's younger brother was a thorn in Ottawa's side all evening. He had a goal and assist, four penalty minutes, and five hits, and was definitely under the skin of a few Sens players.
Sens Killer: Brian Flynn
A goal and an assist for the Sabres #65, including scoring the late tying goal. Boo.
