Silver Nuggets: Effective Lineup
The Senators are back and looked good in the opener. Today we look at which line was most effective.
I cannot explain how nice it is to write about hockey again. To write about games that are happening right now.
The Senators waltzed in to Winnipeg and gave it to the Jets after a shaky first period. There were a number of great story lines. Marc Methot looked absolutely excellent in his first game with the Sens, Craig Anderson looked great in the second half of the game despite not playing competitively during the lockout. The powerplay scored a goal, and after the first period goal by Dustin Byfuglian the penalty kill looked very strong for the rest of the game.
How about the offensive lines though? Milan Michalek scored for the top line, Kyle Turris scored for the second line, and Chris Neil scored for the third (fourth?) line. My question for you today is, which new line combination did you think was the most effective? Which was the least effective? Which line are you expecting to have a big night tonight?
For me, I'd say the Turris line looked the best. I have some concerns about Guillaume Latendresse and his speed, but on Saturday afternoon the best line for the Senators five-on-five, and I think going forward, that match up against other teams could be a big advantage for the Sens.
What say you?
