Silver Nuggets: Hockey Alternatives So Far
Yesterday we looked at the NBA and its return as a possible hockey alternative. Today, I ask which available hockey alternatives you have been checking out so far.
Yadda-dy-yadda, Lockout sucks etc etc.
Its becoming a theme, but the lockout drags on with no end in sight. Yesterday, I mentioned that the NBA, which faced its own lockout last year, was starting up last night. I mentioned that basketball was really going to have an opportunity to shine with the NHL being locked out and with the MLB season ending so soon.
We also talked about the recent agreements between the EPL and various North American networks. With soccer being the world's biggest game, there is a great opportunity to break into North America with hockey sitting on its hands.
But maybe you don't like soccer. Maybe basketball bothers you. Maybe you just fiend hockey. Well, the KHL recently agreed to a deal with MSG, so it ought to be more readily available. Sportsnet recently added more nationally broadcasted AHL games, so that should be easier to watch.
My question to you, is what hockey have you found yourself watching so far that you wouldn't otherwise watch? KHL? SEL? AHL? OHL? WHL? Let us know what you've been watching in the comments and help out fellow community members who may be looking for that hockey fix.
