Silver Seven Ch-ch-ch-ch-Changes
We're making some changes to the Silver Seven staff!
We usually try to keep the focus of our posts here at Silver Seven on hockey and the Ottawa Senators but sometimes we have to make some administrative announcements and this is one such occasion.
I'll be handing over the reins as site manager at the end of May and also will be leaving my roles as a writer and editor. Positive changes in my work life in the coming months mean I simply won't be able to devote the necessary time the manager role requires. In addition, I've been writing for Silver Seven for almost four years and it's time for a new creative challenge.
While I'm sure there will be time for goodbyes at the end of the month, I want to take a moment to thank the wonderful writers I've had a chance to work with. Peter, Mark, Ryan, Dave, Bobby, Roger, Matt, and Sarah: I enjoyed our time working together immensely. You're all talented writers and even better people. To our current staff, Darren, Adnan, Brad, Ross, Nate, Ary, Michaela, Ian, Richard, Jeff and moderator The Tif: thank your for all your hard work, you made being boss so much easier! You're hard working, fun to chat with, and terrific people, it's hard to leave such an excellent team! I know you'll help the new manager hit the ground running!
A final thank you to Silver Seven readers. Without you there is no blog. You have always been appreciative of my writing and it has meant so much to me. I started out as a reader admiring the work of writers like Darren and Peter, to leave having been given those same opportunities is something I'm truly thankful for. I have gained much from Silver Seven and the online Sens community including many friendships I hold dear. This community has given me so much and I remain ever grateful for it.
We don't currently know who will take over as site manager. A job listing will be going up shortly. If you're interested I encourage you to apply; anyone can apply and all candidates with be considered. I know that the Silver Seven community will be as welcoming to the new manager as you have been to me.
Thanks for everything,
A
