Silver Seven Sens Playoff Bracket 2016
Just because the Sens didn't make the playoffs doesn't mean we can't enjoy them
The Ottawa Senators' 2015-16 campaign ended in disappointment, but that doesn't mean yours has to. That's right, it's time for the annual S7S Playoff Bracket competition! Competing is really easy: just fill out the easy form embedded below (or follow this link if the form isn't working), and then check back after each round to see how you're doing in the standings. The winner gets a Sens hat or t-shirt of their choice from the NHL store, as well as eternal bragging rights on this blog just like last year's winner No Angle?.
Here are the scoring rules:
- 2 points for each correct winner in Round 1. An additional 1 point (per series) for guessing the correct number of games, provided the winner was correct.
- 4 points for each correct division winner. An additional 2 points (per series) for guessing the correct number of games, provided the winner was correct.
- 8 points for each correct conference winner. An additional 4 points (per series) for guessing the correct number of games, provided the winner was correct.
- 16 points for the correct Stanley Cup champion. An additional 8 points for guessing the correct number of games, provided the winner was correct.
Remember that you only get points for guessing the right number of games if you also picked the winner. In the extremely unlikely event of a tie, you're also asked to pick the Conn Smythe winner. It's not worth any points on its own, just a way to break ties.
So what are you waiting for? Sign up today! There's no way you can do worse than 0/8 in the first round like our own dear Richard McCrae last year. Submissions will remain open until 6:59 p.m. on Wednesday, when the first playoff game gets underway.
