- The Athletic’s Ian Mendes has a good write-up of Green’s first press conference, and the challenges that lie ahead.
- The NHL's new team is getting off to an interesting start. Instead of releasing their name, they decided to go with presentinf 20 different options. Fans will have the opportunity to vote on the team name in an effort to get the new hockey community involved in the decision.
- To nobody's surprise, the Toronto Maple Leafs have parted ways with head coach Sheldon Keefe. It was the logical move to make with a coach who could only take his team past the first round once in the past 5 attempts. Now the search for the new coach begins and it'll be interesting who they land on — especially in comparison to who the Sens ended up with.

- The Edmonton Oilers had a bit of a scare last night and no it was not the Vancouver Canucks comeback. Leon Draisaitl was in and out of the game Luckily, the team announced it was just some cramps and equipment issues and he is not expected to miss any additional time. So for now, the only major injury to the team is their ego.
- The Winnipeg Jets will be entering the coaching search soon; this time not because of a dismissal. Rick Bowness has decided to retire after 38 seasons in the NHL. He leaves behind a great legacy both as a player and a coach and while the Jets didn't do well in the playoffs, Bowness retires as a Jack Adams nominee.
