Tyler Ennis Signs 1-Year Deal
Plus a Colin White injury update
The Senators have announced a 1-year, $900k contract for Tyler Ennis.
Ennis has been in Sens camp on a PTO, after coming off a one year contract in Edmonton last season. He put up a respectable 14 goals and 19 assists in his previous 61 games as a Senator two seasons ago, but only 3 goals and 6 assists in roughly half the number of games as an Oiler last season.
He’ll likely stay on the wing, where he has spent most of his career (and his time in Ottawa, both this camp and his previous time here), but we might see him taking draws a bit more often depending on what the team chooses to do with Shane Pinto.
On the subject of Colin White’s injury, which may have played a part in the decision to sign Ennis, DJ Smith said today that White is expected to be out 4-6 months.
"He will be out for a significant amount of time."
