Getting down to the home stretch
It's technically correct to say there is still a shot at the playoffs. That's the best kind of correct.

The Jets are 3 points out and chasing the last wild card spot in the west. They are 2-1-1 since the Olympic break, but the gap has actually grown by a point in that time.
Special teams are one-sided for Winnipeg. Their power play is a problem, ranked 27th in the league at 14.2%. On the flip side, their penalty kill is 4th in the league at a solid 84.5%. Possession wise, the Jets are marginally below 50%. Otherwise, their team stats are all pretty average, ranging from 10th to 20th mostly.
Ondrej Pavelec is, well, Ondrej Pavelec. He's almost dead on his career averages, which aren't very good for a starter. Al Montoya has been putting up solid numbers in his limited starts, though the Sens did blow him out at the start of January.
Mark Scheifele is out to a MCL injury.

Nashville has been having a rough go of it. Since the break, they're 1-3-0, which has seriously hurt their playoff chances. They were four points back going in to the break, now they're eight.
Sounds familiar...
The long awaited return of Pekka Rinne hasn't helped too much yet. He's had both of the last starts, both losses. Though those two starts were against Pittsburgh and St Louis, so a bit of a tilted deck.
Part of their slump is the lack of production from Shea Weber. In games where he doesn't get on the board (or isn't dressed) the Predators are a dismal 8-21-5, compared to 18-6-5 when he does put up at least a point. Lately, he hasn't been putting up points - only a pair in one of the last seven games.
The penalty kill has been an issue. It's coming in under 80%, and is 26th in the league. Their combined goaltenders have the third worst SV% on the penalty kill.
