Weekly Question: which Canadian player has impressed most at WJC so far?
Today's weekly question asks which member of Team Canada has impressed you most in the first two games of the tournament?
While Team Canada has only played two games so far at the 2015 World Junior Championships (against lesser competition too), Canada is an impressive plus-12 in goals. With that in mind, today's Weekly Question is: which member of Team Canada has impressed you most so far?
Candidates:
Connor McDavid
He was held off the score sheet against Slovakia, but was in on three of Canada's four goals against Germany (one goal, two assists). It's easy to forget he's still 17 playing in a tournament with players who are mostly a year or two older. Earned player of the game honours against Germany.
Robby Fabbri
Fabbri lead Canada to victory against Slovakia with a four point night (two goals, two assists) and earned the player of the game title along the way. Was held off the scoreboard against Germany.
The Ottawa rookie and Team Canada captain didn't click immediately with McDavid against Slovakia but scored his first goal of the tournament against Germany.
Domi had a goal and an assist against Slovakia and added another goal against Germany. He's been positively electric and is one of Canada's most dangerous offensive weapons.
Nic Petan
Petan had a highlight reel goal against Slovakia and a three point night (one goal, two assists). He had another three point night (three assists) playing with Connor McDavid against Germany and currently leads the tournament in scoring.
